Craftsmanship, creativity, and attention to detail—now in its fourth generation

Every single pair of VITAFORM shoes embodies the skill and experience of our employees. Whether they are master shoemakers, designers, orthopedists, materials buyers, or shoe technicians: at VITAFORM, many experts work closely together to produce shoes that are as comfortable as they are beautiful. Shoe Design with a Lot of Passion

Design that’s right on trend. At international trade shows, we identify the latest fashion trends and then combine them with VITAFORM’s signature comfort. We’re always open to our customers’ suggestions and requests. This leads to creative color and cut combinations with unique details that set trends of their own.

Manufacturing

It takes about 100 steps to produce a finished shoe. At VITAFORM, most of these steps are still done by hand. For example, the upper material is punched out by hand, glued and sewn together, and then individually stretched over the last. Finally, each shoe receives a pre-waterproofing treatment for extra protection and undergoes our quality control process—to ensure that everything fits you perfectly.

Only the finest materials

Let us pamper you: We use only high-quality materials with an exceptional level of softness for our shoes. At Deer-Leather Shoes We’re number one—the world’s softest leather captivates with its unique grain and breathability. Our moose leather offers similar qualities. The innovative VITAFORM stretch is characterized by its exceptional flexibility.

Groin

The lasts are the soul of the shoe; they determine the Fit. The development of VITAFORM lasts is informed by the experience of four generations of shoemakers as well as the latest findings in the anatomy and biomechanics of the foot. To ensure that our VITAFORM shoes always fit perfectly, we use lasts in four widths: G, H, K, and M—for slim to very broad feet. This variety ensures that VITAFORM shoes always offer maximum comfort.

Hand-sewn

We hand-sew the hand-stitched soles of VITAFORM shoes to the upper using a needle and thread. It’s a labor-intensive process, but well worth the effort. This traditional sewing method creates the best conditions for a an exceptionally light, durable, and flexible shoe with the exclusive look of a handcrafted masterpiece. See for yourself!

At VITAFORM, we are committed to sustainability. Many of our raw materials are sourced sustainably and handcrafted into the shoes you love so much. VITAFORM is constantly striving to discover new sustainable processes and produce shoes that both we and you can be proud of.

Handicrafts

Without the manual production steps, a VITAFORM shoe would be unthinkable. Since the My great-great-grandfather's shoemaker's workshop At Steffen Schmutz, handcrafted work plays an important role in the production process. The care and skill of our master craftsmen, which go into each of our shoes, are characteristic of VITAFORM—and will always remain our hallmark.

The VITAFORM headquarters is idyllically situated in the Swabian Alb, in the heart of a biosphere reserve spanning more than 85,000 hectares. Here, economic, ecological, and social considerations are in harmony with one another. This unique landscape—with its hillside and ravine forests along the Albtrauf and its traditional cultural landscape—is our home. In addition, at our Feldstetten facility, we use modern technologies that conserve our planet’s natural resources—from CO2-neutral heat generation using pellets to smart heating controls and energy-efficient LED lighting systems.
